Rock Hall Partners, a strategic advisory firm specializing in GovCon Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), is thrilled to announce the promotion of Tom McBrearty to Vice President. Since joining the firm, Tom has been an invaluable asset to our team, bringing a unique blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to our clients. At Rock Hall, we view M&A engagements as part of playing the long game to build trusted partnerships, and Tom exemplifies this ethos perfectly. He leverages his M&A experience to uncover the stories and the people behind the numbers, bringing a deep passion for relationship-building to every deal.

“Tom perfectly embodies what we look for at Rock Hall,” says Mike Fisher, Managing Director. “We want smart, hardworking people with strong financial skills and good judgment, because deals aren’t just about the numbers. We want advisors who understand that M&A is all about the people, not just the deal, and Tom truly excels at helping our clients achieve their life-changing goals.”

During his time at Rock Hall Partners, Tom has successfully contributed to numerous GovCon M&A deals, strategic projects, and specialized government contract vehicle transactions. He draws on years of professional client services and relationship management experience—including previous roles as a Client Service Manager at LT Trust and a Rollover Specialist at Great-West Financial—to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders on all sides of a deal.

Tom possesses a robust technical background that enhances his ability to analyze complex financial data and provide top-tier strategic advice to our GovCon clients. He holds a Master of Finance degree from Georgetown University and a BBA in Finance from the University of Colorado – Boulder. Furthermore, Tom is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and has successfully passed the first two exams of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
